Chris Beare
Chris Beare is the Chairman and a General Partner of Accede Capital Venture Partners. He has diverse experience as an entrepreneur, venture capitalist, investment banker, chief executive, and independent director. He has both led and been involved with numerous venture capital funded companies, including Wizard Home Loans which was later acquired by General Electric and Radiata. Chris was Chairman and CEO of Radiata which he led from 2 people to a successful sale to Cisco Systems for $595 million in 2000.
He was Head of Strategy at Telecom Australia in the late 1980s, and an investment banking advisor to PBL, News and Telstra in the 1990s through the Pay TV era. He was CEO of wireless chip company Radiata in the early 2000s and then Director of Business Development for wireless in Cisco Systems. He is Chairman of m.Net Corporation, an innovative mobile marketing company, and a founder of Eccosphere International a technology start-up in mobile services.
Chris holds a BSc, BE (Hons) and PhD (Electrical) from Adelaide University and a MBA from the Harvard Business School.
