Tina Lonergan works in the Marketing Unit within City Engagement at the City of Sydney. Her work complements the Economic Development team on small business initiatives throughout the City’s Local Government Area. These include the City of Sydney Business Awards, the City’s sponsorship of Small Business September (run by the Department of Industry and Investment) and the City’s series of small business seminars, Let’s Talk Business. There are over 16,000 small businesses in the City’s LGA, who employ over 88,000 workers and range across the full business sector, including retail, personal services, food and drink and professional and business services.
