EVENT: Saturday May 22 2010
CarriageWorks, Eveleigh. - 9:00am to 6:00pm
TEDxSydney is an independently organised TED event, inspired by the TED conference and website dedicated to Ideas worth Spreading. UTS Business and Business21C is proud to have supported TEDxSydney via a partnership with General Thinking.
TEDxSydney at CarriageWorks on Saturday 22 May 2010 featured a selection of Australia’s leading thinkers and storytellers sharing their Ideas Worth Spreading LIVE to an invitation-only audience … as well as online, via webstream, to the world at large.
Speakers included: the originator of a now-indispensible online mapping service, a visionary city planner, the author of a timely new book, a former High Court judge, a micro-insurance pioneer, an inspiring indigenous leader, an aquatic artist …and a notorious Australian comedian. See our wrap up of the event here.
The event was open to the public: in collaboration with CarriageWorks, Julian Morrow and Craig Reucassel from The Chaser, TEDxSydney produced a Forum event in the foyer, featuring interviews with the speakers, poetry readings and a stream of inspiring content.
