In a special edition of Business21c Weekly, we talk to Mike Hanley as he prepares to leave the Business21c sandpit for the second best job in the world. As Editorial Director of the World Economic Forum (WEF), Mike will be based in Geneva, Switzerland, with  responsibility for producing a myriad of publications across a range of media platforms. He is, in his own words, going to Business21c-the whole thing.

Mike gives us an overview of the activities of the WEF and some insight into its place in the world of business and economic thinking. We also talk about how it feels to trade your surf board for a suit and tie and the freelance life for the nine-to-five.

Back to the first best job in the world. We look back over the last 12 remarkable months of Business21c, where the business of taking ideas and making them inspirational, creating connections and stirring conversation between like minded people, about how to make business happen in an efficient, original and innovative way, will continue. After all, we are not losing an editor, we are gaining a European correspondent.

And we finish with some Hanley out-takes. Corny perhaps, but very entertaining.
